Silent Knot-Sessiz Budak

Silent Knot is an original relief painting from my Living Textures series. Inspired by the organic patterns found in tree trunks, growth rings, and natural wood knots, this artwork explores the silent memory preserved within nature.

The piece begins with high-density rigid foam, sculpted entirely by hand through an intuitive and improvisational process. The surface is then carefully hardened with controlled heat using a blowtorch, reinforced with five layers of mineral filler, prepared with three coats of primer, hand-painted using water-based pigments, and finally protected with a matte spray varnish.

The flowing relief lines converge around a central knot-like form, suggesting the passage of time, growth, resilience, and the quiet rhythm of nature. Rather than representing a specific landscape or object, the artwork invites viewers to discover their own meanings through texture, movement, and light.

Each change in light reveals new shadows and details, giving the relief a constantly evolving presence. Like every artwork in the Living Textures collection, Silent Knot is entirely handmade, unique, and impossible to reproduce exactly.

Sessiz Budak, Living Textures serime ait özgün bir rölyef tablodur. Ağacın budaklarından, yaş halkalarından ve doğanın organik dokularından ilham alan eser, doğanın sessiz hafızasını ve zamanın bıraktığı izleri araştırır.

Eser, yüksek yoğunluklu sert straforun tamamen doğaçlama biçimde elde şekillendirilmesiyle başlar. Yüzey daha sonra kontrollü olarak pürmüzle sertleştirilir, beş kat mineral esaslı derz dolgu ile güçlendirilir, üç kat astar boya uygulanır, su bazlı pigment boyalarla katman katman renklendirilir ve son olarak mat sprey vernik ile korunur.

Akışkan rölyef çizgileri merkezdeki budak formunda birleşerek zamanın akışını, yaşamın sürekliliğini ve doğanın sakin gücünü simgeler. Belirli bir nesneyi betimlemek yerine, izleyiciyi doku, hareket ve ışık aracılığıyla kendi yorumunu oluşturmaya davet eder.

Işık yüzey üzerinde dolaştıkça yeni gölgeler ve ayrıntılar ortaya çıkar; böylece eser her bakışta farklı bir deneyim sunar. Sessiz Budak, Living Textures serisindeki tüm çalışmalar gibi tamamen el yapımı, tek ve özgün bir sanat eseridir.
