Silent Symbols-Sessiz Semboller

Silent Symbols is an original contemporary relief painting from my Living Textures series. Inspired by ancient carvings, forgotten symbols, and the enduring traces of early civilizations, this artwork explores how signs, textures, and forms can preserve memory beyond words.

The artwork is entirely handmade using high-density rigid foam, intuitively sculpted without sketches, templates, or molds. The surface is carefully hardened with controlled heat using a blowtorch, reinforced with five layers of mineral-based filler, prepared with three coats of primer, and finished with multiple layers of water-based pigments. A final matte spray varnish protects the textured surface while preserving its depth and tactile character.

The composition combines spiral forms, geometric motifs, and textured surfaces that resemble weathered rock carvings or ceremonial symbols. Rather than representing a known language, these forms invite personal interpretation, encouraging viewers to imagine forgotten stories, ancient rituals, or civilizations whose voices have faded but whose marks remain.

Like every artwork in the Living Textures collection, Silent Symbols is entirely handmade, signed by the artist, one of a kind, and impossible to reproduce exactly.

Sessiz Semboller, Living Textures serime ait özgün bir çağdaş rölyef tablodur. Antik kaya oymalarından, unutulmuş sembollerden ve eski uygarlıkların geride bıraktığı izlerden ilham alan bu eser; sözcüklerden daha uzun yaşayan işaretleri, dokuları ve hafızayı araştırır.

Eser, yüksek yoğunluklu sert straforun tamamen doğaçlama biçimde elde şekillendirilmesiyle oluşturulmuştur. Üretim sürecinde herhangi bir eskiz, kalıp veya bilgisayar destekli tasarım kullanılmamıştır. Yüzey kontrollü olarak pürmüzle sertleştirilmiş, dayanıklılığı artırmak amacıyla beş kat mineral esaslı derz dolgu uygulanmış, ardından üç kat astar boya ile hazırlanmıştır. Son aşamada çeşitli su bazlı pigment boyalar ile katman katman renklendirilmiş ve mat sprey vernik uygulanarak hem renkler hem de dokusal yapı korunmuştur.

Kompozisyondaki spiral formlar, geometrik işaretler ve zengin dokular; zamanın aşındırdığı kaya yüzeylerini ve kadim uygarlıkların sessiz anlatılarını çağrıştırır. Bu semboller belirli bir dili temsil etmez; aksine izleyiciyi kendi anlamlarını oluşturmaya, geçmiş ile bugün arasında hayali bağlar kurmaya davet eder.

Sessiz Semboller, Living Textures koleksiyonundaki tüm eserler gibi tamamen el yapımı, imzalı, tek ve özgün bir sanat eseridir. Aynısı yeniden üretilemez.
