Silent Texture-Sessiz Doku

Silent Texture is an original relief painting from my Living Textures series. The artwork begins as high-density rigid foam, which I shape intuitively without sketches or molds. Every surface develops naturally during the creative process, making each piece completely unique.

After sculpting, the surface is carefully hardened with controlled heat using a blowtorch. It is then reinforced with five layers of mineral filler, creating a durable relief structure. Once fully cured, the artwork receives three coats of primer, preparing the surface for hand coloring.

The final colors are applied using water-based pigments in multiple transparent and opaque layers. Light, shadow, and texture interact across the relief surface, creating different visual experiences depending on the viewing angle. A protective matte spray varnish completes the work, preserving both color and texture.

Rather than representing a specific object, Silent Texture explores the quiet language of organic surfaces, natural erosion, and the hidden beauty found within simple materials. It invites the viewer to slow down, observe closely, and discover new details with every glance.

Like every artwork in the Living Textures collection, this piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind.

Sessiz Doku, Living Textures serime ait özgün bir rölyef tablodur. Eser, yüksek yoğunluklu sert straforun önceden hazırlanmış kalıplar kullanılmadan, tamamen doğaçlama biçimde şekillendirilmesiyle başlar. Her yüzey üretim sürecinde kendiliğinden gelişir ve bu nedenle her çalışma benzersizdir.

Şekillendirilen yüzey kontrollü olarak pürmüzle sertleştirilir. Ardından dayanıklılığı artırmak amacıyla beş kat mineral esaslı derz dolgu sıvası uygulanır. Kuruma tamamlandıktan sonra yüzey üç kat astar boya ile hazırlanır.

Renklendirme aşamasında çeşitli su bazlı pigment boyalar kullanılır. Katman katman uygulanan renkler, rölyef yüzey üzerinde ışık ve gölgeyle birlikte sürekli değişen dokusal bir etki oluşturur. Son olarak mat sprey vernik uygulanarak eser korunur ve uzun ömürlü hâle getirilir.

Sessiz Doku, belirli bir nesneyi betimlemek yerine organik yüzeylerin sessiz dilini, zamanın bıraktığı izleri ve sıradan bir malzemenin sanatsal dönüşümünü araştırır. Her bakışta yeni ayrıntılar sunan eser, izleyiciyi dokunun içinde sakin bir keşfe davet eder.
